Masterchef 20th July Alana is focused

What a horrid picture of her! So horrid that she doesnt even have legs. I'll try and redo another picture one day. (warning! spoilers for 22/07/11 episodes included)

A lot of people I've talked to find Alana rather reclusive as we don't get snippets of her emotions as much as we do for the others (Hey Elli, Hey Danni). I honestly don't mind, in fact I find her a great role model. She's dedicated, focused and also a great leader. People who do not make great team leaders include Danni, Elli and after todays performance Hayden can add himself to the list. There's nothing wrong in not being a team leader, personalities just suit different roles.

I've also somewhat ruined the next elimination for myself as the masterchef episodes had exit interviews posted up =___=. I am surprised that the Producers have decided to let go of Hayden considering all those shirtless running and zoom in shots of him in so many episodes!...just maybe...maybe the show will be about the cooking from now on? haha just kidding.

P.s. I am a day behind because I stream all my shows! Our TV only picks up SBS and ABC.

Transformers 3 Review 6/10

I know... technically this is cheating as it's neither masterchef or chai lattes- but, thats ok!

Not sure how many of you are Transformers fans, but I'll have to warn you. There are slight spoilers ahead (not big plot reveals, but slight spoilers)

I did enjoy the first movie, but it seems to have gone downhill since unfortunately : <.

The movie felt like 3 hrs of shinies (which i normally like) and product placements. You had 3 seconds of screen time going to the Head of National security changing into Nike shoes, Decepticons and Autobots changing into Panasonic TVs, Sony Vaios and the Mercedes SLR. Vossa Water in convenient camera angles and Double A paper flying everywhere.
Rosie did her part of selling too with lots of screen time. I'm sure Megan Fox won't be pleased.

Amongst all the selling of shiny cars and Victoria Secret models, there just wasn't enough space for story line, plot, character development and most importantly - Transformers.
What made the first movie so great was the introduction of the bots and awesome special effects. There were new concepts, new characters, everything was fantastically new and it took a whole movie to take a bot down. Transformers 3 however did not deliver in this area, and big bad decepticons take a few minutes to take down.

Oh and apparently Accountants are evil.

In summary people who like shiny cars, lots of special effects, victoria secret models and hate Patrick Dempsey might enjoy this.
People going in to see a movie *about* Transformers might not enjoy this.

Pic included, it would have been great to see a female autobot.
It was also a bad attempt at drawing Rosie, but that’s ok.
I also can't draw droids/robot things, but that’s ok too.

Master Chef Wednesday 13th July

I find it an interesting turn of events that Hayden and Danni were in the bottom 2, I also found the incident that Hayden's Tuna costing the team win eerily similar to when Danni let down her team with her leadship in a prior team challenge.

Oh btw is it me or does Paul from Corton look eerily like Charles Xavier...?

First blog with Max! 4/10

Max brenner White Chocolate Chai 

Take Away (Note: This means I had it without the interesting plastic contraption that it's usually served with)
Cost: $6.00

An attempt to do the max b head in 2 strokes (horrific!)

Although the Max Brenner White Choc Chai isnt the typical "Chai Latte" I'm going in with the pretense that it should be somewhat similar.
(Given that White chocolate is a lot of milk and sugar with a bit of cocoa butter anyways : ) )

Verdict: It's sweet, not in that nice creamy sweet way though. : (
You can definitely taste the Chai, but instead of harmoniously melding in with the white chocolate they serve as harsh contrasts of each other giving a sort of plasticy after taste.

Conclusion: Definitely get the other things on the menu, for $6.00 I think you're mainly paying for the use of the plastic contraption thing. The Italian Hot Choc is the thickest hot choc I know out there and the waffles a definite favourite of mine.

Interesting fact: I use to work at Max Brenner : ).
